Sweet Beryl AKA Bery who delights in blowing in my hair.

Lilian who is the perfect student: always listening to teacha'

Paul who will put anything in his mouth, including the wooden letters used for a teaching tool

Our 'sitting room' in our house on the Salvation Army campus

Our kitchen where we make 'magic' on a nightly basis, complete with a new counter and a large pantry en suite

The corner back bedroom is my digs, with nice view of back garden

Another day at Kakamega Township Primary School with Paul, Lilian, and Bery!
So glad to see yur pictures. Now we can imagine your new life more concretely. I love your details about everything too. Your students are very fortunate - and I noticed all the vocabulary on the board. I think you are a natural at teaching, Rox. Miss you though!

Thanks for the photos. A look at their faces and you know the students are fully aware that they hit the jackpot with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos. They add some realism to your blogs. I can now picture where you are rather than imagining. I love your blue door! Those kids are pretty darn cute.
ReplyDeleteXOX, Hanner.
Hi Rox,
ReplyDeleteHappy Early Easter! Just went to the P.O. and mailed you pencils, erasers, and stickers. Hope the package gets there safely! Love reading your journal and seeing the pictures!

Roxanne, Happy Easter. Marsha gave me your URL - it looks like a great adventure and a great thing you are doing. Is it OK if I send your URL to the AAUW members? Keeps on teachin'! Fran
ReplyDeleteRoxanne,
ReplyDeleteWhen your year of adventure is up, I'm looking forward to the speaking/book tour! Great stories and photos. Can't wait for the next installment.
Miss you! -Maureen
